History:
Here's the link to Grizz's wiki! I can expand on a few things from the wiki, however!
His very first memories can only be recollected by him from his dreams and nightmares. On a dark, stormy night, little baby Grizz was stuck up the top of a tree, clinging onto a branch like his life depended on it. Who knows how long he was really stuck up there, but to the little cub, it felt like an eternity. Finally, after hearing sirens and seeing some moving specks of yellow down below him, a firefighter climbed up and saved little Grizz. Grizz became extremely attached to the firefighter, though more specifically, his warm sleeve from his jacket.
Things become a little muddy at this point as far as memory recall goes, but the next earliest memory Grizz has is living with his little brothers, Panda and Ice Bear, in a cardboard box. While they had many different little adventures Rugrats style, their primary goal was to be adopted into a loving family. They had come close several times, but it was always one thing or another that prevented them from actually being adopted all together in a welcoming home (Panpan, why did you have to pee on that woman, she was this close to adopting...). All the while, little Grizz took on the role of the leader very early on, consistently keeping the morale up between the three of them and overall being a model big brother to them.
Years passed, and there came a time where the brothers had to face the truth: they were getting older, and the chances of getting adopted into a loving family was getting slimmer and slimmer. So, reluctantly, they switched gears from getting adopted to finding a bigger place to live in. Besides, the cardboard box was getting WAY too small for them. They started their house search by looking through lavish condos that were ASTOUNDINGLY expensive for them, then moved their way downward to less lavish condos, to normal apartments, to cheap lots in dangerous parts of the city. It was getting harder and harder to remain optimistic, but Grizz tried his best to keep on a positive demeanor, only letting it slip for a little bit when the brothers had to resort to staying the night in a dark and dreary cave.
The morning after, however, the three bears woke up and realized that this cave wasn't dark and dreary at all. It was...actually very homely. After a bit of cleanup, redecorating, and somehow getting electronics to work in the middle of a forest, living in that cave looked much more promising. This could work! Finally, their journey to find a place to live was done.
Now that the brothers had the basics of living, the next step was to meet new people and make some new friends. Tons of friends! It was the next best thing to getting adopted, anyway. Since then, the brothers have gone on many different wacky adventures. They did manage to make a couple of friends, like the elementary school aged college student Chloe, the cryptid bigfoot Charlie and the diabolically nasty and uncaring internet sensation Nom Nom (who really shouldn't be a friend, but hey, Grizz still tolerates him). They've tried out different ways to gain popularity and ergo, different ways to make new friends. They've given a shot at putting out a viral video! They've illegally set up a calzone food truck to gather up customers, both human and animals alike! They've taken in a pet crab bought from the grocery store, temporarily lost him after the crab decided to pinch Ice Bear's ear, found him after a few months back in the cave only to have the crab pinch internet sensation Nom Nom's face, then went on the run as fugitives keeping their pet crab safe from the law! But, there's always room for more friends and more adventures for Grizz and his brothers! Or, well, at least for Grizz.
Personality:
Grizz is, first and foremost, very caring. A huge part of that comes from being the big brother of the family. He has a tendency to look over his bros like a mother duck, fussing about them looking presentable whenever they have guests over, and he'd take a bullet for them at the first possible chance. Family is very important to Grizz and he may not get along with someone that doesn't feel that way.
In general, Grizz is very extraverted and LOVES to meet new people. He's pretty open-minded, he believes that everyone is somebody waiting to be a friend. He's also always eager to learn new information because of this, especially when it comes to making his family and friends feel comfortable around him. His friend and their parents speak Korean? He'll try his best to speak what little Korean he knows back at them! Still, the way he can approach other new potentials friends can be offputting for some. Grizz doesn't have a lot of tact, he'll sometimes just barrel his way into a private conversation. When you get past that, though, you'll end up with a very reliable and lifelong friend.
However, because he's so eager to be friends with everyone, Grizz can be very gullible and too trusting. Even to those that's hurt him and his brothers, he'll still give them a second chance. And a third. Maybe a fourth. Despite this, he's not completely dumb. He'll start to slowly get wary of whoever's constantly putting him and his brothers down. In some cases, especially if his brothers are in danger and need help, Grizz will scare whoever the poor sap is to not bother them again. Those are rare cases, but if the time calls for it, he'll do it.
So why exactly does he want to be friends with everyone? The answer is simple: he's afraid of being alone and he's afraid of being rejected. Deep down, he's afraid that everyone, including his brothers, will abandon him. He tries not to let it get to him most of the time. He'll try to put on a face whenever he feels this way, but it's pretty easy to crack the facade (you can just literally say, "What's wrong?" and he'll tell you all of his woes immediately).
In the end, Grizz is a loud bear with zero tact and thinks that the phrase 'personal bubble' sounds like the name that you'd give to a bubble wand stash, but if you get past that, you have a very reliable, kind and caring friend.
Debt: The first thing Grizz tried to wish for was a thousand wishes...which the Witch shot down pretty much immediately.
He then remembered having a blast going through Koriko, shopping with his brothers.
His brothers…
His most vivid memories from that one weekend a few months ago was shopping with Ice Bear and comforting a hysterical Panda, who said that he was murdered. He was still confused about what happened, but it reminded him that the world was still a cruel place, and without him around, who would keep his brothers safe? Well, Ice Bear could take care of himself, but what about Panpan? So, his wish was that his brothers would stay safe and unharmed while he was doing this job. Short, sweet and to the point.
Previous Game Info: I guess this is probably the best place to put this, but since I played Grizz during the 4th wall event a couple of months ago, I'd like for him to keep his memories during that time!
Inventory: All he has on Grizz is his wallet. It's got some money, an ID, a few pictures of him and his brothers, all the essentials.
Abilities: Despite being domesticated, Grizz is still a bear. He can run 30 miles an hour at top speed and he's also very strong too! He also has a very loud and intimidating roar! He has a huge stomach and can eat his weight in food! His claws are no laughing matter, either. It should be said, however, that Grizz prefers to fight with words instead of fists. It's only a worst case scenario that he'll actually try and attack somebody!
He also still has his bear instincts. If you come to him for advice, be prepared to hear some…odd recommendations. For example, you need to make new friends? Make yourself as big as possible! Need someone to leave you alone! Just roar real loud! Yeah! Everyone can do that!
Grizz also tries to keep in shape as well. He'll make his brothers go on a run with him, he plays basketball often and he even keeps a few weights in his room back in the cave. He is one fit bear!
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths:
- Once again, he's incredibly open minded and is willing to try out new things, from sports to making movies. He's pretty flexible for anything!
- He's quick to think on his feet! In times of crisis, he doesn't start freaking out and panicking; instead, he comes up with an idea on how to deal with the situation. Granted, most of the time they're not good ideas, but hey, it's better than doing nothing.
- Speaking of, he works great in teams. Given that the majority of the time he acts like the leader of his bros, he's more comfortable in a leader position, but he's also a fair team player too. He'll do whatever it takes to get to the goal!
- While not as tech-savvy as Panda, Grizz does know his way around a computer. This doesn't really apply as much to living in a forest village with no electricity, but once Grizz can see the notice board, he'll immediately connect it to a social media website for cavemen. He knows all of the latest trends, too. He will spam the board with doodles of image macros in order to preserve that internet feel.
- In more literal terms, Grizz is STRONG. One swipe of his paw can send a person flying! He can lift up heavy loads! He can carry his bear brothers in a stack if he has to, but it'd feel really weird because he's so used to being on top of the stack!
Weaknesses:
- Once again, he has zero tact. The word 'personal bubble' is not in his dictionary. It’s not like he’s nosy or anything, he doesn’t really eavesdrop for no reason, he’ll just sort of…barrel himself into conversations. He just loves everybody, okay?!
- Can be a little guillible and too friendly. He can get taken advantage of if he's not careful. It's a double edged sword, really. He usually picks up on some hints that someone's taking advantage on him, but it's a hit or miss as to when he can pick them up in time or if he's in too deep.
- Ironically enough, he's terrible at roughing it. Being domesticated, he's so used to eating food out of a box than catching his own food and living in a cave with AC and a power source than in a forest in the middle of nowhere. Don't come to him for survival advice.
- Perhaps a consequence of being domesticated, Grizz doesn’t really know his own strength. Yeah, he gives out great bear hugs, but WOW try not playing tag with him. If he gets too playful, he’ll swing at you with all of his force! You don’t want to get hit by a grizzly bear swinging at full force!
- He puts others’ needs before his own. Now, granted, this only really happens to people that are super close to him (his brothers and his friends Chloe and Charlie, for instance), but if someone does get pretty close platonically to Grizz, he’ll start doing it to them too. He’ll make sacrifices to them, whether it’s running away from home to protect an innocent crab from getting arrested to sacrificing himself while taking down a very persistent jean jacket with him. This could go either way as a strength or a weakness, but it’s very possible for Grizz to go too far, which is why I decided to put this on the weaknesses list.

Grizz meets up with Ice Bear to go shopping and consoles a hysteric Panda during the 4th wall event!
This is a bit on the old side, but here's a good test drive I did for Grizz back in like February with another cool Ice Bear.
